What is Yoga Nidra?

A well rested soul…is one who recognizes that they are vast spacious awareness, pauses in life and responds, knows their innate power, holds love and compassionate space for themselves, understands when to rest and holds the wisdom to make rest a priority.

Yoga Nidra is DEEP intentional rest. It is sleep with a trace of awareness. As one of my Yoga Nidra rest teachers, Karen Brody says, “Yoga Nidra is rest medicine for our modern times.” Rest can truly heal.

What if you knew about a practice that brings you closer in line with your Soul’s purpose? What if you knew that you can move toward healing yourself? Would you be interested in coming home to yourself, accepting and realizing how wonderful you are, truly?

Yoga Nidra relaxes the through body scans and breathing techniques. These meditation techniques automatically calm the body and mind.   All you have to do is listen to the mediation and you’ll come back feeling rested, calm and balanced.  Meditations are usually shorter bouts of guided techniques while Yoga Nidra is anywhere from 20-45 minutes. What makes Yoga Nidra different from meditation is that you can state an intention and/or affirmation for the practice and truly direct your life experience. It uses the biological process of sleep to reset your nervous system. Yoga Nidra gets to the root of imbalances in our bodies and minds through deep, transformational rest.

It is wonderful for those who suffer from trauma, insomnia, chronic disease, anxiety, depression, stress management and general well-being.

GROUP CLASSES ARE CURRENTLY ONLINE THROUGH ZOOM Yoga Nidra classes can now be scheduled online with Kerry and/or requested for any group with whom you’d like to rest!

PRIVATE YOGA NIDRA If you are looking for personal transformation, intention setting and healing at a deeper level, meet with Kerry personally for a one on one personalized yoga nidra session tailored to your needs. A private yoga nidra session takes 90 minutes and are held live or virtually online through ZOOM.
